  1. Project Submission: Electric sector companies are responsible for submitting their R&D projects to ANEEL by June 30 of each year. Submission is done electronically, following the guidelines established by the agency.

  2. Project Evaluation: ANEEL conducts a thorough evaluation of the projects, analyzing them based on criteria defined by the R&D program. The evaluation is conducted by a technical committee composed of sector experts.

  3. Financial Support: Approved projects receive financial support from ANEEL, which can cover up to 50% of the total project costs. This financial support is granted through economic subsidy or expense reimbursement.

  4. Project Execution: Electric sector companies are responsible for executing the projects, with the support of research and development institutions. Proper project management is crucial to ensure that they are implemented according to R&D program guidelines.

  5. Results Disclosure: ANEEL plays an important role in disseminating project results. These results are shared not only with electric sector companies but also with society at large. Detailed reports are published on the agency's website, providing broad access to information.

 

ANEEL Evaluation Criteria:

The evaluation process for R&D projects is carried out by a technical committee composed of sector experts. The committee evaluates the projects according to the following criteria:

  • Alignment with the mission and objectives of R&D:
    Projects must align with the mission and objectives of R&D, namely: to promote technological development in the electric sector, contribute to improving the efficiency, safety, quality, and reliability of electric power supply, and promote innovation in the sector.

  • Relevance to the electric sector:
    Projects must be relevant to the electric sector, contributing to the improvement of one or more of the following aspects: energy generation, transmission and distribution, consumption and energy efficiency, safety and reliability, and environmental and social.

  • Originality and innovation:
    Projects must be original and innovative, contributing to the development of new technologies in the electric sector.

  • Technical and economic feasibility:
    Projects must be technically feasible and economically sustainable.

  • Contribution to sustainable development:
    Projects must contribute to the sustainable development of the electric sector, considering environmental, social, and economic aspects.
