Portable Partial Discharge Meter
The HVEX Portable Partial Discharge Meter is the ideal solution for insulation testing and diagnosis in high-voltage electrical equipment, enabling early fault detection and condition assessment of assets such as transformers, bushings, cables, motors, generators, circuit breakers, reactors and capacitors. With a portable configuration and automated operation, it delivers reliable measurements, detailed signal analysis and support for predictive maintenance in the field and in the laboratory. The system is operated from an integrated case housing an industrial computer and dedicated software that acquire, filter and interpret partial discharge signals. It supports different sensors - external coupling capacitor, HFCT and capacitive tap coupler - allowing measurements across a wide range of applications. The system also includes a pulse calibrator and advanced analysis features, including AI-based self-diagnosis. Typical applications: Testing and monitoring of power and instrument transformers Measurements on condenser bushings and wall bushings Diagnosis of motors and generators Testing of cables, terminations, joints and splices Inspection of circuit breakers, reactors, capacitors, insulators and disconnect switches Assessment of electrical assets in predictive maintenance and field inspections. Sensors and acquisition: External coupling capacitor: capacitive / resistive-capacitive divider for controlled signal pick-up on bushings and test points. Split-core HFCT: high-frequency reading via the earth path, suited to cables, transformers and points without an accessible tap. Capacitive tap coupler: adapter for condenser bushings acting as a capacitive divider and high-pass filter. Sampling rate: 500 MSa/s; vertical resolution: 12 bits; usable frequency range: 10 kHz to 100 MHz. PDMS software: Full test control, digital filtering, graphical views and a database for measurement history. Report export in PDF and DOCX, and compatibility with external signal-processing tools. Intuitive interface with test parameter settings and automatic recording of results.
