Smartmotor Relay installation requirements
To ensure the integrity and correct operation of the equipment, the main PMC-550D relay and its expansion modules must be mounted on standard DIN rail, in dry indoor environments free of dust and away from heat sources, radiation or electrical noise interference. The display interface module (HMI) is designed for flush mounting on the panel door and requires an exact cut-out of 103 mm x 54 mm. The system offers wide supply flexibility, with the power terminals operating over a range of 95 to 250 VAC/VDC. As a critical safety measure, safe earthing is strictly mandatory: the relay GND terminal must be connected to the installation chassis or panel. Regarding sensing, specific applications with variable frequency drives (VFD) or two-speed control require the current transducers (MTA) to be installed upstream of the circuit, and temperature sensors (PTC/NTC thermistors) must be wired with shielded twisted pair (STP) cable.
