The HVEX Current Impulse Generator is the advanced solution for performing impulse dielectric tests on high and medium voltage equipment, ensuring accurate assessment of electrical integrity against lightning discharges and switching surges. Designed to meet international standard requirements,it allows for the controlled generation of high current peaks and residual voltages with extreme precision. Technical Operating Range: • Adjustable impulse current: 1 kA to 350 kA. • Residual voltage: from 0.5 kV to 250 kV. • Waveforms: impulse front from 1 µs to 10 µs, tail from 4 µs to 700 µs. • Square waveforms: simulation of line discharges, arresters, and surge protective devices (SPDs). This flexibility makes the equipment ideal for test laboratories, electrical equipment manufacturers, power utilities, and high voltage research centers.
