VLF Hipot for Cables and Generators — up to 80 kV Peak

The HVEX VLF hipot performs low-frequency applied-voltage tests on capacitive loads, including cables and compatible motors and generators, according to the applicable test procedure. Output voltage is up to 80 kV peak. Selectable output frequencies are 0.1 Hz, 0.05 Hz and 0.02 Hz. Load capacity must be selected together with frequency, voltage and test configuration. The system integrates voltage control, measurement and overvoltage protection. Applications include cable acceptance and maintenance tests and voltage-withstand tests on compatible equipment. Test voltage and duration must follow the procedure applicable to the test object. Insulation resistance measurement requires a separate megohmmeter; it is not performed by the VLF hipot.
