Very Low Frequency
Very Low Frequency
VLF is an advanced voltage tester that uses digital technology to ensure precise and safe testing on high capacitance loads such as high voltage cables, large motors, and generators. With direct sampling of current, voltage, and waveform data from the high voltage side, it provides increased accuracy and features overvoltage protection for quick interruption. Operated by a control console and booster circuit, VLF generates high voltages at low frequencies, keeping the injected power into capacitive loads low. With the capability to test multiple phases simultaneously and flexible adjustment of test time, it is the ideal choice for low-frequency insulation resistance and withstand voltage testing. Key words: Applied voltage on cables, hipot, frequency variation, VLF (very low frequency). Standards: IEC 60502-2, CENELEC HD 620 and 621, DIN VDE 0276-620 and 621, IEEE Std. 400
