MEASUREMENT AND MONITORING
Electrical Quantities Meter - HVEX Acquisition
The HVEX Electrical Quantities Meter was developed to offer a complete and accurate solution for measuring fundamental and advanced electrical parameters in power systems. Designed to meet both classic measurement standards and those specified in IEEE Std 1459-2010, the equipment provides a detailed and comprehensive analysis of all aspects of the electrical system, including active, reactive, and apparent power, total harmonic distortion (THD), distortion power, K-factor, and additional losses due to harmonics. This broad analytical capability makes the analyzer essential for loss tests in transformers, efficiency tests in electric motors, and thermal performance evaluations with full metrological reliability. It is ideal for laboratories, electrical equipment manufacturers, power utilities, and research centers. The system includes the HVEX Acquisition software, which performs automatic calculations of losses and efficiency, optimizing data analysis and providing complete reports for evaluating the performance of transformers, motors, and other high and medium voltage electrical equipment. Typical Applications: • Loss tests in power and distribution transformers. • Loss and efficiency tests in electric motors. • Temperature rise monitoring in transformers. • Evaluation of additional losses due to harmonic distortion (K-factor). • Diagnosis of industrial and utility electrical systems. • Support for energy efficiency and predictive maintenance programs. Technical Features: • Measurement according to IEEE Std 1459-2010 (power measurement in non-sinusoidal systems). • Accurate reading of voltage, current, power, and harmonic distortion. • Automatic loss and efficiency calculation using HVEX Acquisition software. • Long-duration data logging and storage. • User-friendly interface for operation and visualization of performance graphs. • Integration with automation and supervisory systems. Technical Standards Met (National and International): • IEC 62053-22 — Electricity metering equipment (accuracy classes 0.2S and 0.5S). • IEEE Std 1459-2010 — Definitions for electric power under non-sinusoidal and unbalanced conditions. • ABNT NBR 5356-1 — Testing of power transformers. • ABNT NBR 5381 — Energy efficiency testing for electric motors. • PRODIST Module 8 (ANEEL) — Brazilian procedures for energy distribution. • IEC 60034-2-1 — Loss and efficiency testing in rotating electrical machines.
